Have to be in a denomination to be Christian? *No and yes.  A Christian one who is a born again by God.   They sit under Biblical preaching, which is only found in Protestantism today. These denominations incl non denom. But many non denom have no faith statement today (after 2012) and are wishy washy or possibly progressive, so use caution.  Do denominations divide & not unity? *Yes and no. It is because of either misunderstanding of Scripture, or lack of understanding areas of Scripture that a founder of a denomination created a new denomination. What are we Reaping?  While we are not under a theocracy... is there a New Teatament command or requirement to tithe. Today we donate from every paycheck to the church, which helps with the pastor salary, building maintenence, electric, water etc, the printed and digital materials provided, sometimes food costs, money to help the poor widows and poor and those with urgent need, as well as missionaries, copperative missions and evangelism reach outside the church both by congregants and beyond. So we do need to give, and do so cheerfully, to further the Gospel, and to remember we are doing this to the Lord. Both in church and as a Christian helping others and self/family sharing of the gospel (tracts, Bibles, books etc). Remembering that wherever & in church helping believers is done as if they were the Lord cuz Jesus lives in the redeemed, and that Scripture says that we serve the Lord . God gives us what we have, so it can be used for Him. Both our time, money and ourselves....

How can we “walk in the Spirit” all the time?  I love God, I believe the Bible is true and that Jesus is who He says He is, but I can’t seem to stop sin as a pattern in my life; and I don’t trust that just believing Christ rose from the dead and confessing that is enough. There has to be some way of assurance — but I don’t get how Christians are so unforgiving of sin in others, as if we don’t all partake in it constantly. Isn’t that why salvation means so much? Because we dont deserve it? This will help: If one is saved they by the new nature they naturally walk in the Spirit. If we dont believe what God has said, we call him a liar and are not trusting Him. My best friend spent years getting into new age practices and finally admitted he’s not Christian.
