If God is love, why is
Q. If God is love why is there Hell & punishment? A: One needs to have a right understanding of God his character & nature, and his Love to answer that. Real love requires Truth . [Real truth, not the counterfeit distorted one of today]. Hell exists to punish fallen angels, but theres no other place for fallen man (who dies in his sins), so God made sure Hell would be the eternal prison for those criminals too. Scripture tells us Rom 3:23 The wages of sin is death. And Heb 9:27 further tells us- after death is judgment. So there is a place where punishment is poured out, that awaits those who die in their sin. As you noted Hell exists, but it's just a holding cell until Judgment Day when they will begin their eternal sentence in the eternal Lake of Fire.
