I hope it encourages you  Sorry to hear of your bad experience.  Sadly some churches are not actual churches but social clubs. It was surveyed only 37% of Bible church pastors are biblical preachers, today. And probably around that many or less are actually Christian in the church. Only 3% were found by large surveyed across churches who actually read the Bible daily. 34% read at least 4x a week.  Many or most in churches are not saved. The parables are warnings of false converts in the church. Jesus & NT Scripture has serious warnings to people also, who claim to be his disciples.  I am sad to hear that happened to you. Topic of Suicide  I have a suicide loss story too.  I had a relative (on step side) who also passed (i was too young to remember much). But i do remember he was a Christian. It was back in the day in a small town and a time when jobs were hard to find. I understand He tried and tried. And kept getting skinny and skinnier & idky his family didnt help him 😥. He eventually gave up and "left". 2 weeks later the lumber yard called to say they finally had a job for him. It was too late.  I think about it probably at least 1x a year. Thinking if he only held out and trusted in God a bit longer. Rarely someone is willing to run into fire & willing to lay down their life for a friend or stranger. Just like this story points to, and this brave man , others occassionally also try to rescue people from the fire. We got notified in mid 2022  family cousin  was in a 🏠🔥 house fire at his home. No one knows how it started. He was on the porch with a couple people, and several  family were inside, including his wife and newborn who were both taking a nap in the bedroom, and 2 of his older sons. He ran in to rescue all the people. He got them all out, but died of smoke inhalation and didnt make it out. What does Scripture teach about Jesus?  Q:Neither God nor Jesus stated " Every knee shall bow" to Jesus. About Sanctification The process to remove us from sin. Being separated from sin and moving towards making a believer more holy, more righteousness day by day. Conquering sin and having victory over it. Becoming more holy and righteous. It is not morality, it is God working in obedient redeemed followers of Jesus, to be set apart for God.  It is not perfection at salvation, it is not making us perfect, but when our job on earth is done, when we pass into eternity, Jesus perfects us for eternity. We cannot be perfected until we leave this fallen sin stained body behind. And at the Rapture all redeemed believers will receive their perfect eternal body.  Here, we strive to be conformed to the image of Christ, holiness and righteousness.
