Doesnt want to go to church?
Q: How do you counsel someone who claims they are a Christian but do not want to go to church? Can you be a true Christian and not regularly attend church? A: It doesnt sound like they have a medical or physical or elderly issue, so if they're not in church, they're outside the will of God. They are giving excuses and revealing theyre likely a false convert. Many "come to Jesus" for wrong reasons, and you should probe and help them examine if their salvation is true. For those who still claim to be born again after that discussion, they need to be educated, corrected, admonished and exhorted lovingly so they are discipled in this matter and get into a local church this week. Those not wanting to be in church reveal a core heart issue. If we love Jesus we will obey Scripture.
