Is dancing at weddings okay?
Q: Can we as Christians dance at weddings? What can wedding receptions look like? A: Israel danced in many celebrations but not sure if they did in the Tabernacle/Temple. We do not know if there was dancing at weddings, perhaps there was. Weddings legally lasted 7 days in Bible times. David danced before the Lord, though his wife thought it un-Kingly? Every ethnicity/race, tribe, nation, dances or has a dance. Ps 150 encourages us to praise the Lord with dancing. Question is, how? It is not the dancing but the heart or motivation of it. Sensual, provocative, tempting? If we are having fun with friends, celebrating a marriage, a promotion, our hearts are joyous, or you want to create a special evening with spousie by poping a bottle of sparkling juice or something, put on you alls’ favorite song, lights down low, dancing like you used to, why not? If done in faith that there is therefore now no condemnation in the called, that there is no sinful motivation, why not. If we wer...
