This is a misunderstood and often issue that needs correcting due to by false teachers in modern churches.  The topic of "binding and loosing" is in relation to sin and forgiveness  & is found in the New Testament, both of which refer to the authority given to the apostles by Jesus: 1. Matthew 16:18-19 - "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Vs 20:  For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.  >>The Father & Son are participating with the congregation 2.
