Heading off to Heaven Q: I have a question that's been on my mind since I lost a believing relative. Is it possible that  before someone souls leaves their body, that "God is there" and the person is aware of of Him before they go home to be with the Lord? A: God is always in the believer, and Scripture tells us absent from the body, present with the Lord.(1) At the moment of instant death we are in God's presence in eternity. It might not surprise you to learn we are told in Scripture to "store up treasures in Heaven". You might have even heard about " Rewards or crowns " but might not have understood that they go back to Jesus. You might even be more surprise to learn there are Eternal Positions given to faithful believers and connect the dots from Scripture that we will get the blessing that go with it for eternity; decided at the Bema Seat.  I was studying about this after learning about it while going through an end times study.  Knowing this, don't waste your life on earth.  Thoughts on random things about Eternity where the Redeemed are Will we eat food? We will have shed this fleshly human body and receive a different kind of body that is fit for Eternity.  Our bodies will be different in eternity, a lot will be different, but better. Not even sure we will need or eat food in eternity. That is for temporal flesh and blood sustenance for energy and for the human living machine body to function. Thinking about well will we not need food, but will we be able to eat it? I would think if everything is perfect, and we dont need it, we wont have lusts after food. But I don't know. Something to think about. If it is offered by God to us, we wont be selfish, greedy, lustful for it (like those in the wilderness with the quails or today when we have favorite foods we like to eat without having a need for it but just wanting to eat it (gluttony). There will be no sin in the realm where the redeemed live.  Is there an Ocean I was sad when I read there ...
