Double Imputation

Image
Note:  if you came here from the justification page, you'll notice many repeat teachings here, but if you go through them again, focus on the double imputation part.  Double Imputation "Doctrine" means teaching, specifically a teaching God has revealed to mankind in the Holy Scriptures; the Holy Bible. This Doctrine of Double Imputation is part of the Doctrine of Justification, the broader doctrine that examines several salvation doctrine topics.  In the Doctrine of Double Imputation—the theological concept that, in salvation, believers' sins are imputed to Christ, and Christ's righteousness is imputed to believers. These two things, then, complete our grace of acceptation. Sin being removed, and righteousness bestowed, we have peace with God—are continually accepted before him. There is not any thing to charge us with: that which was, is taken out of the way by Christ, and nailed to his cross—made fast there; yea, publicly and legally cancelled, that...

Salvation and Election

Q: What is the difference between salvation and election? A: Salvation is a result of election. One is elected (chosen/foreordained) to salvation.   Ephesians 1:4-5  Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will Romans 8:30  And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. They are in the Lambs Book of Life since before the foundation of the world. 2 Peter 1:10  Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent  to confirm your calling and election. Salvation occurs in three tenses.  1.  We are saved (justified) from the penalty of our sin,  2. the process of salvation (sanctification) continues saving us from the power of sin until  3. our ultimate reward of salvation...

Perseverance

When discussing the gospel and discussing salvation, it is necessary to point out the importance of perseverance.  He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. 1 Peter 2:24 If we are saved our sins were placed on Christ on the cross, we were given a new nature; the righteousness of Christ, we love and live in righteousness, walking with, fellowshipping with, and serving Christ as our Lord and Savior....and we will persevere to the end.  The believer might see they are persevering and know they are saved. But, after a believer perseveres to the end of their life, they are revealed by God, before all, to show they were indeed a redeemed one.  Perseverance is the reward, as it bears unimpeachable witness to the genuineness of their faith. And those whose faith is validated by a faithful life will enjoy the crown of eternal life with their Lord and Savior. — John MacArthur Who by God's power are being guarded through f...

Why wont Satan and fallen angeles get saved

Q:I have a question about   Lucifer and the fallen angels, salvation and humans.  Someone said having faith and being saved "cant" just be about >Belief [though Scripture says it is]. We are told, "even demons believe" so they assumed it must take more than belief.  But thinking this out, Humans and Angels arent the same kind of creation.  Adam and Eve knew God and seems they were fellowshipping and constantly in His presence, before the fall. Man is fallen. Demons are fallen.  Fallen angels were living in the presence of God and serving him prior to their rebellion and fall. Humans werent in that kind of situation, and so God decided to offer salvation to us.   We know that Satan & demons plunged all Humanity into billions of billions of sins and God will judge that.  🤔 so is the reason God chose the plan of redemption of mankind because "we were made for eternal fellowship with God?" and that we are special because He created us in...
