Q: 10C Obey and Honor parents is commanded. We cant pluck that verse out of context, as an adult I believe they live their own life. Wouldnt it also contradict other places in the Bible that says a man is to leave his mother and father once he's married? So, taking in the context of the verse is important because the Bible doesn't contradict itself. A: Your not using the verse in context, & not overall biblical teaching on the topic, thus your opinions are clouding biblical truth. We dont just take a verse only at face value, it actually "means" something, and biblical cultural context needs to be included.
