The culture began to drift or turn against biblical truth with the the emphasis of pragmatism. Are you able to learn, take correction and do you appreciate it? Any true believer will embrace any believer coming alongside them to point out something or to caringly correct them esp in the area of sin. It gives the believer a chance to consider what was said, pray on it and see if there is truth to it so they can correct and grow in holiness. It shows that believer cared enough to come see you. That is a believer you can have good feelings about and appreciate. 🙂 If offense is taken among the brethren when truth is shared as lovingly and gently as possible, the issue is with the hardened heart of the offended party, not the believer who is attempting to godly helpfully advise, educate or correct as Scripture says to.  It only seems offensive if you are prideful and not correctable. Are visible images idols... Q: Are pictures of Jesus against the second commandment?  I know most say only if they are worshipped.  But it says any heavenly images created. A:  I think it best to understand the 2C as referring to images that we intend to worship in place of God [idols or what could be one]. Growing up we always prayed over a meal. As a young adult who just left home, is there a biblical way we are supposed to pray over our food? A: We are to pray without ceasing. And follow Jesus example. It is good to thank God for what he gives us. We humbly give thanks with gratitude. Mark 8:6:  And Jesus directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. Q: How do you counsel someone who claims they are a Christian but do not want to go to church? Can you be a true Christian and not regularly attend church? A: It doesnt sound like they have a medical or physical or elderly issue, so if they're not in church, they're outside the will of God.  They are giving excuses and revealing theyre likely a false convert. Many "come to Jesus" for wrong reasons, and you should probe and help them examine if their salvation is true. Q:  Increasing numbers of church members are asking me, in reference to their pastors, Doctorate or A B D [all but discertation], if “should we be calling him Doctor since it is how he refers to himself.” How should we view this?  A: It is very odd for a pastor to desire to be called by his worldly credential title. As a Christian his role in the church is Pastor. And he simply studies and presents the teaching of the Word. Dont force kids to go to church? A: Christians are not "forcing" them. God gave us these kids to be "raising" in the home according to truth and our faith [which is both].
