Q: I have been on the fence but actively pursuing God about what I’m believing. Do you think to believe in God and yet believe that a lot of the events that happen back then are illogical? Today we don’t see people coming back from the dead, we don’t see fish feeding 5000 people coming from enough for two, etc. Just because those things don’t happen today doesn’t mean that they didn’t.  It’s just hard to wrap my mind around as it is illogical by today’s standards. Hopefully that makes sense. I’ve been working on belief for a long time and figuring out what I believe and praying about it, but I’m still not sure anybody really hears me when I pray. Unsaved people, [non Christians; those not born again by God...] are trapped in their sin nature. They cannot understand the things of God or righteousness as it is foreign to them God explains in Scripture that their heart and mind is at emnity with God, with the things of righteousness, and they don't understand. They're blinded by Satan. Further Scripture tells us they only always continually sin, and the heart is desperately wicked, decieves and it leads to death and destruction.  So when a unsaved person says "We'll I was told the Bible says God gives us the desires of our heart"... their focused on the twisted erronious self focused fleshly sin nature mindframe of getting something they want for their selfish sinful desires, as if God is some kind if genie that serves them. That's an idolatrous false view. God is soverign and we were made for him and to have righteous & obedient desires; He reigns over our lives, not us.  This defines & explains...
