Pray before eating 🙏

Growing up we always prayed over a meal. As a young adult who just left home, is there a biblical way we are supposed to pray over our food? A: We are to pray without ceasing. And follow Jesus example. It is good to thank God for what he gives us. We humbly give thanks with gratitude. Mark 8:6:  And Jesus directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd. Mark 14:23  And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. One thing that I think ought to be central but is often left out is the idea of giving thanks for God’s provision in the meal. Asking God to, “bless this food to the nourishment of our bodies…” is a good way to give thanks. The example Jesus gives all through Scripture and at the last supper  he blessed the food and gave thanks. I would think that’s a solid...

New UK Nazi Laws - Thought Police 😱

Image
Who wouldve ever thought something like this would happen in the West.  In Britian or UK theres a recently new law that in effect causes a Christian to be arrested for praying.  Thank God we are in America. The country of freedom, liberty, religious rights and free speech.  Tbh tho churches in every country where abortion or lgbt is legalized needs to educate the congregation on how to handle these new issues.  If you are in one of those countries here are a couple ideas:  In her case she could as soon as cops show up,  ⭐start recalling verses she has a hard time remembering, and simply say shes memorizing the Bible. Or other related ideas. ⭐tell him it isnt his business, as she isnt disturbing the peace by standing on a sidewalk. ! She doesnt even need to tell him she is praying or Christian.  If sidewalks are deemed public spaces in their country then the police are unlawfully harassing a citizen. And should be reprimanded. But also shame on police ...

Q: Most dont follow the Bible

Q: The teachings of the Bible... Does it really matter? It seems even most religious people don't follow them. Re: topic on the Lord's Prayer and generally about prayer, and what appears to be hypocritical lives of Christians. A:   The prayer isn't for religious people tho. It is only those born again . Prayer is communicating with God and aligning to His will. The Lord's Prayer is an example of how to pray to the Father [God]. God only hears the prayers of the redeemed. The prayer is likely known by 85% of the country due to vbs (Vacation Bible School) and a large majority went/going to church w grandparents and parents. So it is also similar to the 10 Commandments. People know "of" them. See: NeedGod.com  Q:  God only hears the redeemed? I'm not so sure of that. What about if the redeemed, "slip back"? That being said, I've seen many so called Christians "not" following the 10 commandments. A: good questions.  1. God's Word ...

Make sure your Prayers are heard *

Did you know God doesnt automatically hear or listen to your prayers? It is true.  What believers need to know: When we sin God cuts off communucation. Your fellowship os cut off until you repent and turn from the sins and back to Him and the righteous path.  Sometimes God brings discipline to us for not dealing with those sins and not living right, other times it is to test us or cause us to move away from the world and rely on him more and more. If you are not living right, are in sins, or not actually saved, he wont hear your prayers. Scripture on topic: Isaiah 1:15, the Lord says, “When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening."  Proverbs 28:9 says, “If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction [not saved &not obedient], even their prayers are detestable.” “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God...
