Q: What are the biblical views on the Pentecostal Church movement that is happening around the world? is it biblically accurate, and what are their beliefs? is it safe or should we pray for them to come out of it? A:  Salvation was always based on faith. But in Scripture when Christ comes, God pivoted from Israel to the Church. It requires significant and undeniable authentication which is why God gave signs, signs to Christ as the Messiah, signs to His Successors the Apostles in order to prove, to demonstrate, to validate the Gospel they were preaching was indeed the truth.   Ephesians 2:20 is the pivotal passage in the Charismatic controversy, in terms of the timing of the gifts... Ephesians 2:20 indicates that those signs were necessary for the age of Apostles and the Prophets for the Foundations of the Church. Q: if the Holy Spirit still speaks, the canon can't be closed. A:  That verse supports sola scriptura and canon being closed.  This verse specifically uses the past tense “spoke” for that very reason. In this way the canonical Scripture, is "done" because it’s past tense. The very next Chapter goes on to warn of false teachers and teachings , which is what Charismaticism is.  The entire reason God had the Apostles write the NT was to tell the world what they saw and heard and were taught by God "as actual witness of Christ". His actual physical disciples "alive when He was here". Canon is closed. The full revelation of Christ and everything to the end of the world and into eternity was revealed. He told us the end. There is nothing left for God to tell us.  The OT pointed to Christ. The NT revealed Him. The Apostles taught all we need to know for Christian living.
