Mormon asks about baptism
Q: Mormon asks: I have never been baptized before... but am getting baptized soon. My boyfriend and I have gone back and forth discussing this. He says if you get baptized in the "wrong" church/denomination, you can go to Hell for worshipping a false idol. Is there any scriptural evidence for this? A: He is right in a way. First I will note that all humans are already hellbound because we are sinners. The Law & Gospel further explain this as it points to God's perfection, and the just wages of man's sin is death and eternal wrath. So if you are an idolator [following a false god, false jesus, false gospel, false word of God, and in a false religiin masqurading as Christian] then it along with your other sins is why you would end up in Hell. Scripture explains by your sin your wages would be given to you. "The wages of sin is death" Rom 3:23, and Heb 9:27 further explains "After death isconly judgment".
