Should we fear God when we are told he loves us?

Q: Should we fear God when we are told he loves us?  A: First, we need to define God's love. Then, explain more about fear: Theres 2 main fear ; fear thats your friend & fear thats your enemy. The final fear is a revenant fear   towards God, (whom a believer loves).  One point folk misunderstand is, the non born again [converted by God] think theyre good, so if they do wrong they fear theyll be punished. But God revealed were all sinners by nature, as children of Adam - born in sin. From our mothers womb (from conception) we are enemies of God and that means....all are already hellbound. Its by God's Grace thru Christ that salvation is even available, to escape it. Be restored to God, adopted by God, saved, forgiven, blessed, eternity bound etc. This is a key thing folk miss. If they understood it rightly theyde see theyre a vile wicked evil wretched sinner deserving of death and damnation. Thus Christ and His redemption offer make real sense. Some also say Peopl...

God loves everyone?

NO,  we are not all God's children. That's a false belief of many in modern times, and shows they dont understand who we are nor who God is.  To explain.... Humanity fits in only two categories: 1. By nature (before salvation): ● Because of the Fall, all humans are “dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1). ● Paul says unbelievers are “children of wrath” (Eph. 2:3) and that they follow “the prince of the power of the air” (Eph. 2:2), which is Satan. ● Jesus Himself told some of the Pharisees, “You are of your father the devil” (John 8:44). → So in that sense, Christianity teaches that outside of Christ, people are in bondage to sin, under Satan’s dominion, and can rightly be described as his children. 2. By grace (after salvation): ● When God saves someone, they are adopted into His family (Rom. 8:15–17, Gal. 4:4–7). ● Only in Christ do we truly become children of God (John 1:12). This is why adoption is a central theme in Christian soteriology: we’re transferred from the fam...

Can you see Love

"A lot of atheists say they believe in love, but their definition of love is different from ours. They think love is just about feelings and emotions. But the Christian definition of love is based on the love of God, which is sacrificial and unconditional. And that's a much deeper and more meaningful kind of love." "A lot of atheists also think that they can only know what they can see or experience. But that's not always the case. For example, we can't see or experience gravity, but we know that it exists because we can see its effects. In the same way, we can't see or experience God, but we can see his effects in the world around us. "So, I would encourage atheists to not be so quick to dismiss the Christian definition of love or the existence of God. If they are willing to open their minds and hearts, they may be surprised at what they find." Oscar Navarro, Living Waters podcast, ep  Former Atheist.  <<< return to prev page

If God is love, why is

Q. If God is love why is there Hell & punishment?  A: One needs to have a right understanding of God  his character & nature, and his Love to answer that.  Real love requires Truth . [Real truth, not the counterfeit distorted one of today].  Hell exists to punish fallen angels, but theres no other place for fallen man (who dies in his sins), so God made sure Hell would be the eternal prison for those criminals too.  Scripture tells us Rom 3:23 The wages of sin is death. And Heb 9:27 further tells us- after death is judgment. So there is a place where punishment is poured out, that awaits those who die in their sin. As you noted Hell exists, but it's just a holding cell until Judgment Day when they will begin their eternal sentence in the eternal Lake of Fire. It is still referred to as Hell, for a simplifying things in a convo with unbelievers. But the truth is, if you die in your sins, you are set to be there for eternity, and theres no hope or wa...

God is love🌟

God is Love People today do not understand God, do not read the Bible, and create misinformation about God. Errors typically get spread by those creating catchy mottos, quotes or phrases, and it leads to teaching false information, and false theology. Those who usually repeat these phrases & beliefs are not Christian.  “Love is why he came. It’s all love. The buzzing flies around the cross, the stroke of the Roman hammer as the nails tear into his screamingly soft flesh, the infinitely harder stroke of his own people’s hammering hatred, hammering at his heart – why? For love. God is love, as the sun is fire and light, and he can no more stop loving than the sun can stop shining…. True love, unlike the popular substitutes is willing to suffer. Love is not “luv.” Love is the cross.” — Peter Kreeft 1. Primarily God (the Father) showed His love to Jesus (the Son) by the redemption of mankind He gave all saved humans to Jesus. Jesus loves the Father and in return, (when we redeeme...
