Hosea, Adultery, Forgiveness & Restoration

Hosea  If your spouse committed adultery... you do need to take him back. To strive to reconcile, return and be restored.  ●God commanded Hosea to marry Gomer, who was an adulterer, who kept committing adultery. ●This marriage pointed Israel’s spiritual unfaithfulness to God. Their spiritual adultery.  ●Hosea’s faithfulness to Gomer was meant to illustrate God’s steadfast love for His covenant people, even when they turn away & sin. Key passages: Hosea 1:2, Hosea 3:1–3. The point isn’t about condoning adultery — its a symbolic act showing God’s covenant love for His people. A covenant and love that shouldn't be broken.
