For several hours I reviewed what I could find late tonight, and below provides adds to the discussion of Tripp and lgbt.

Sources that discuss criticisms related to Paul David Tripp's perceived reinterpretation of sin, particularly in the context of his views on language and identity...

A blog post titled "Through the Narrow" critiques Tripp 

• Homosexuality and Identity: the author references a video from 2015 where Tripp discusses homosexuality. Not clear in if he suggests it is biblical to label individuals by their sexual orientation, as that contradicts biblical teachings that identify sin clearly. This has raised concerns about his stance on how sin is addressed within the church. *need to look into it further. 

• General Concerns About Sin: Another source discusses the broader implications of Tripp's teachings on sin, emphasizing that his focus on intentions and context may lead to a "relativistic" understanding of morality. Critics worry that this perspective could "dilute" the biblical understanding of sin and its consequences.

• Cultural Sensitivity vs. Biblical Truth: Cook expresses concern that Tripp's approach reflects a broader trend within evangelicalism to "accommodate cultural norms at the expense of biblical truth". Warns that such shifts can lead to confusion among believers regarding what constitutes sin and righteousness.

This somehow may have been what I kinda remembered, slight lgbt issues, and had wrongly remembered that the issue of wokism isnt always including progressive lgbt focus, as the real issue is his leanings or focus of racism issues [in the woke camps pushed in liberal churches today]. 

The main issue with him is the other woke embracing. 

On Social Justice: 

In his video The Gospel, The Church and Racial Injustice

• He specifically said/labeled "White" Christians, early in the intro of video, (and near 15 min mark). As if implying all whites are the problem & are all sinning against blacks, when sin is individual and across all ethnicities. Today we see blacks and other ethnicities (even across youtube) behaving racist towards whites, even among "church" folk. Ethnic focus is wrong. As if we are not all human and all One in Christ. And that mindset tarnished the Gospel, and truth. [And is creating reverse racism problems, random assaults on whites etc in USA]. 

• Hes focusing on the sinful "culture" not Christ who saves and transforms sinners to saints; new heart/love of God towards all impartially, which is who are in the "Church".

• Hes pushing the phrase "their" (black) [supposed] "experience" on us as if "we have to change for them" (& see things their way through the distorted sin lenses they wear). We dont. We all have experiences of sin and hurt in this fallen world, in varied ways. It's not skin issues its sin issues. And social justice activists and propogaters dont want folk to see that. They want to blame everyone, instead of be responsible for their own lives and decisions. Satan decieves, distorts, and seeks to destroy. But Christ repairs, restores and transforms. We need to preach Christ and love folk where they are and counsel them to biblical understandings, either by loving kind believers counsel, biblical counselors guiding, church discipleship, pastoral counsel or church discipline. But they cant get that in woke churches. 

Regarding experience. Their sub culture in US in black communities is "sin culture", which began est in 90s around free sex, not consequences, money money focus, drugs, rap music objectifying and pursuing all this, baby mamas, free govt welfare etc are problems in that community, and promiscuity led to lack of responsible men marrying and being fathers, providers and husbands. Sowell and others spoke on this well. *Prev black generations didn't have these issues. They like Adam & Eve want to blame other people. This isnt the whites fault, it's their own choices they made*, even if they were going to church, or to segregated churches in communities [and colleges], (not to mention black only businesses with all black staff), they chose to be segregated there. They didn't have good Bible focused pastors who cared about shepherding them into living living holy lives if their church looks like the unsaved world around them. The pastors embraced worldly politics and entitlement policies. These folk "experience" is based on "choices they made", and most all of it was 0 to do with white folk. Today blacks on YouTube are calling out many behaviors of folk in black sub-sub cultures as rachet, criminal, and etc not wanting to be around them, and giving them labels cuz of their behaviors and choices. That's not racist, these outliers want better for themselves and are pursuing it. Africans dont even like that sub culture behavior; predominant in tv and movies (not just black music). Even the legal immigrants from African and Caribbean nations are family focused, and not about that sinful nonsense culture these live. They assimilate and join in any Christian church, and don't segregated into black only communities, schools, colleges, businesses etc. They live as regular Americans in our culture, and go to dual ethnic or multi ethnic churches since it exists in their area. 

I myself have been victim to several black folk outside the church in the 90s at work and in 2010s at work. Upper ranks in military having me do demeaning work as if their servant like "getting back at the whites" [for things not even done to them], and staying in ethnic cliques at work, not training me, wiggling out of it time after time with the manager, but then constantly training the Hispanic girl (and giving her all their time and effort so she succeeds). To later on them hiding at off site locations (remotely on campus), to avoid me being assigned to them to shadow and learn. Leaving ill equipped manager to try to train me, and me doing it practically by myself.  

To one purposely trying to derail my IT project [to fail], (as part of her larger project) while on the larger project go live call, shortly after having purposely not joined my project go live call, (while sitting in a cubical right behind me loudly chit chatting with the other black lady there. [Kiddos for folk calling her out on that during her go live call]). Lots of little things as well. These are just sinners sinning. Thats all it is. They may affix race to it out if hate, and to blame others (for varied reasons) but my behavior and response is to be godly despite their ulterior motives (such as racism). Its a fallen world, but the church is not to be like the world. 

• Tripp's call to white believers to Read Scripture "on justice" has 0 to do with USA "social justice", that social justice version is anti biblical because it condemns innocent people for things they havent done and aren't responsible for. Satan is the great accuser and father of lies.  

• He encourages us to go to resources by folk who apparently propogate woke theology, to sway us to believe in their "social justice". Not going to look at it. 

His video was critiqued by The Proverbial Life on YouTube in 2 parts. I'll leave that and other sources for folk to investigate. I'm not interested in going through those things Tripp suggested or any others similar, as what I understand of woke and progressiveness is all unbiblical baloney that I dont need to waste my time on, nor do I want to. 

This Racial Injustice or systemic racism in western [unsaved] culture is being pushed by political rhetoric for a satanic agenda to divide and for entitled mindset reasons, at others expense [in many unjust ways]. 

We went to a 99% all black church for a couple years in late 90s, and there was only brotherly love there towards us. We've been in mostly multi ethnic churches too going on 25 yrs. No church we have been in had folk (of that worldly mindset) that we knew, and we knew most everyone. So his spheel of being in a black church and hearing/noticing such and such, sorry... maybe them folk are pew sitters and not ones who Christ knows or redeemed. Not everyone in church is saved, many unsaved in there, dont get corrective loving counseling, and many who dont read or know Scripture so the culture brainwashed them,  or woke preachers did. We are not to embrace lies by false teachings, like this satanic movement with its subtle lies and twisting of Scripture and the Gospel. 

 

Growing up in 70s to 90s we didn't have those issues either. It's a recent political invention [reinterpreting facts, rewriting history and recent history, & using emotions to decieve] cuz one particular party in this country has nothing else to stand on (besides eliminating God, & being pro sinning) so they pushed the agenda stoked by false racism, for dangling carrots to voters for freebies from AA to DEI & unjust reparations [in varied forms], they allowed crime, & looting as if its owed to them, and other entitlement mindedness, waving off crimes in court or acting as if theyre not smart enough to get a job (or into college) based on skills, so it all has to be rigged, to then extremes of openly advocating for and purposely not hiring whites, and other DEI nonsense that kept it going perpetually (the last 12 yrs at least), and still trying to sneakily and secretly circumnavigate the new Scotus rulings and Federal laws on it after its been knocked down, to keep it going. The party and those who embraced it play on feelings over facts, using words like compassion & empathy, etc in a false and twisted manipulating way, to try to get their way, and folks buy in, even to the point of beating them down with feelings and rhetoric to hating their race as a white person (and so called privilege that's assumed of all whites). Solid Christians arent buying that lie. Christians cannot embrace wokism. We are to be living in truth and love, and exposing lies and error. And repenting and reconciling for sins one on one committed, not everyone of one race blanketly being condemed by another. Vilifying everyone so you feel superior or good or whatever, only causes true injustice to the innocent. 

Many more well educated people can speak on this better than I can put into words, but wokism shouldn't have anything to do with a Christian, as it is not biblical and not loving. 

Hes right that "change and action are needed", but that only comes through Christ, and God transforming people one person at a time, not embracing worldly woke theology... but through biblical truths, by truth and in context.
