Or you obeyed the true Gospel but your "lack of knowledge of Scripture" is the source of the problem. Not reading and knowing it is a failure on your part not God's; he already gave it to you. You need to know it. You need to know who God is and how his people have been lead by Him through trials and situations [in this fallen world] to a blessed outcome. When you really know who God is you can see he is the only one faithful & trustworthy. You can rely on Him. Wouldn't He who did the greater thing [salvation] do the lesser things [care for you] too? Of course.
If you go through the material here it will help solidify your faith. Then go and read your Bible every day to get to know Him more and more, and obey & apply what you read.
