Agnostic couple seeking God

Q: My husband and I have both been agnostic most of our lives but have recently been feeling like something has been missing in our lives, and we feel as if we are being called to believe in God and Christianity.

Are there any suggestions for learning about Jesus and the Bible as a couple? Where to start.. how to go about reading and studying the Bible… we really want to grow in our faith together.

A: Yes. Great news.
Here is my recommendation

1. Read the book of Gospel of John. Then read Romans. These are in the New Testament. You can read these free online here

2. Understand the Essential basics of Christianity.

3. Understand the gospel. See vid

4. If you get that far and you have embraced this then you are a Christian.

Principles to follow to help you grow in your faith and focus on God:
1. simply read the Bible daily, & apply what you learn (as it relates to righteous right living)

2. join a solid bible focused local church (be actively learning there, and get baptized there).

Here are some resources to help you start growing, help you find a church, and help you read the Bible well [ plus more].

>>>Take it all one step at a time.

God bless ✝️🙂🙏

Some Fun facts:
In the Old Testament God promised to destroy the power of death, the New Testament tells us how he did it.

In the Old Testament points to Christ (the Savior), the New Testament reveals Him (as Jesus).

In the Old Testament the Hebrew word for the Savior is "Messiah" but in the New Testament the Greek translation is "Christ". This is why Jesus is called the Christ. He is our Savior.

Bonus:
After going through the above if you would like to do a deep dive on John's Gospel and Romans these audio series will help.

Beyond that you can go through the Scriptures similarly here using the drop down menu by book.

And you can get a solid study Bible here
