Counseling - Cussing & Speech *
Thinking biblically about specific issues is important since we Christians get our worldview from biblical truth, & we can not make excuses, get correct help, must take action, and conquer sin, to live right and holy lives.
Words matter, our thoughts controling how we think and what we say matter.
They matter because it reveals whether we are actually a transformed person in Christ or not, but even if a weak believer who never grasped this yet need to realize our words are to build up, encourage, exhort and be used to share the Gospel. But if we are not wise in how we talk and not showing love, how could we think the unsaved people in the world would be drawn to Christ if they see you behaving like the world. Our speech is supposed to glorify God.
Remember that we are in a fallen world, that others do wrong things and it ripples to you. We are to be like Christ and be full of the love of God towards others, forgive, be gracious and merciful. To speak gently and be patient with others.
We need to make sure to have the fruit of the Spirit.
