Sinless believers?
Q: I know a pastor who said he hasnt sinned since he got saved long ago. Some people are prideful and think they have no sin.
A: We all sin even after salvation. Paul even lamented about that. The NT clearly speaks on this. If one claims to be sinless or perfect now, theyre either a liar "and the truth is not in them", or equally the same...they were never saved. Because they do not actually understand what sin is, and have not admitted it and... they still need to be saved. If we were perfect at salvation we would be brought straight to Heaven, no need for sanctification, growing, conquering sin, or need for the Scriptures which provide for "correction in righteousness", etc. Which is clearly taught in the New Testament about redeemed believers.
Recent statistics from surveys show only 37% of pastors hold to the authority of Scripture, so thats 63% of pastors flat out telling us they arent saved and do not stand on the Word of God.
✨️As for that "pastor" ask his wife if he ever sins. I bet he will be found to be a self righteous liar, and it shows he isn't saved and needs to be. No one is perfect but God and no human but the incarnate Jesus.

Q: Some say people in the OT or even Mary were saved in a different way than you are today.
A: All sinners are saved in the same way... the day they: repented of sin and put faith* in the biblical true Messiah, they were saved.
(*Trusting that he paid our sin debt in full to God, redeeming us from deaths curse and eternal damnation.)

And at Salvation Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to indwell the believer. Which instantly gave us spiritual life, by causing us to be born again. As our Savior, Jesus restored our fellowship with God, gave us eternal life, made us children of God and slaves to righteousness, free in Christ. Belonging eternally to Him. It is why we follow Jesus and no longer ourselves, and our ways and beliefs (which was actually satanism and enslavement to sin, wickedness and evil). We were redeemed from that and placed in the Kingdom of God.
