Sabbath keeper?

Q: "I’m not a 7thday Adventist, but I do believe we are to keep the Sabbath, it’s a commandment. Am I wrong?

Can you show where Scripture says we no longer need to keep the sabbath? (This is a sincere request)".

Sure.

The first thing i want to note is that people learn things at different times and at different points in their faith when they study and look into a matter instead of just believing what a denomination teaches or something you were lead to believe or had assumed. We must remain teachable, so we can grow in the knowledge of the Lord and understand what God is teaching and revealing to us in Scripture. Keep an open heart and mind to examine, ponder and prayerfully consider what is presented and offered here (including in the links). Christians rest in Christ and are free from the the Law of sin & death, because of Christ fulfilling the Law in our place, we were saved from sin thru obeying the Gospel, and now we walk in righteous nature, by the Holy Spirit. Living by the Law of Christ, also called the Law of Liberty.

First, note, the Law (the OT) was given to the Jews, it didnt and doesnt apply to the Gentiles.

Though in a sense it does point to God (9 of them are moral & #4 is a sign) so in regards to sinning and falling short of God's perfect character. 10 show our failings [as on a side note #4 does point us to the fall since people do niy give him the glory for creation]. The spiritual principle of righteousness and sin was known to the people who lived from Adam to Moses and from Israel to Malachi. And the communicable attributes* point to righteous that is written on our hearts with our conscience bearing witness.

Second, The Old Testament Commandments (10C, ceremonial and civil). Regulations governing Sabbath observances is not moral aspect of the law. Sabbath keeping is not a moral law. However, not lying not murdering, loving God, loving others, those are moral. And we by nature follow those, "in spirit" because it is about righteousness in relation to God's character.

The Law of Christ is what we follow. We do not do it in obedience as the Jews did in the OT by their constant attempted efforts, but we do it in the Spirit. God made us a new creation, gave us spiritual life, and we have the righteous nature now. We live in the Spirit by the Spirit and by His power we naturally obey and do what is righteous by the new nature. So, we fulfill the law of the Spirit, the Law of Christ. We cannot not do so.
