Q: Not everyone is Christian, so not knowing that prayer is not a big deal, is it?

A: it isnt personally important to a non Christian, true. It was a teaching Jesus gave to his followers, that is an example for all "saved" redeemed ones. According to God's Word, God doesnt hear the prayers of the unsaved. So it has no relevance to any non born again person.

The reason most know about it from 1500s till 2015 was America and the west has Christian foundations, and it was a part of the society. But since atheism and lack of morals here has gotten worse, people simply dont know about the things of the Bible. Even though it is the most sold and read book in the world, people are biblically illiterate.

Neat statistics tho... during covid era, for each of the 3 years 15 million new people in USA read it (the Bible). Clearly people consciously and subconsciously know the importance of God's truth, but usually reject it due to self and sin nature, (v). God still draws people to it tho 😊
