Women Sunday School teachers
Q: Why do we allow the majority of Sunday School teachers to be women (and lead/ oversee the next generation of men at an age when they are most impressionable)?
A: Easy Answer.
1. This is a Church leadership issue with the Pastor and Elders/Decons. Go have a meeting with the men in the church and tell them to get to their act together; do their responsibility under Christ, in the Church, to be leading, teaching, making disciples, teaching the Word, and be disciplemakers. Theyre not doing it likely cuz
* Theyre not saved.
*They dont know the Bible and just warm a pew.
*Likely dont even read the Bible at home, nor lead their family under Christ (there).
*They arent qualified to do so; get them qualified. (Sunday School classes have a teachers guide, and require prep time, but note: those not right with God... wont volunteer. So assign the deacons/elders till you have capable born again men).
2. i dont know what churches you are talking about, but they should rectify this. Tho women can teach over women/females, but it is better in church, if adult mature believing Bible-studied men do.
Women can teach over boys under 18. They are teaching basics of the Bible that most dont even get taught about in their own "Christian" homes, seeing latest research show only 3% of "Christians" read the Bible daily.
Theres also a shortage of men maturing in the faith and able to teach. Many churches have more women and few men today.
Impressionable? They're being taught the Gospel, Bible, Christ, and of Christian life. Their moms would do the same, as did Timothy's mom and grandma.
