Human life
God created humans in His image.
God creates life.
A master craftsman at work shaping a work of art to which he gives life (1Co 15:45). 1:27 (cf. 1Ti 2:13). Cf. Ps 139:14.
God values human life.
Made humans from dirt, a man’s value is not in the physical components that form his body, but in the quality of life which forms his soul (see Job 33:4).
Humans are to Love God and Love one another; fellow humans. Those who love do not murder. Murder is of the devil, and it is a sin unto death.
The first law God gave was to protect human life. Murdering a human is forbidden. Here also God set 1st justice system>> murder= Death Penalty. Aka Capital Punishment.
Verse 7 says why murder is not allowed.
God said, "Execute anyone who murders another human, because murder ends the life of a living being made in the image of God."
Only God can end the lifespan of a human, as their creator. If anyone else does it, it is evil, sinful, wickedness and the criminal who destroyed a human life and didnt value and protect it, is to die. The wages of sin is death.
God tells us in Gen 8:21 that mankind is fallen, and all humans are not good. Their nature is evil: "the thoughts and actions of humans are continually evil, even from childhood."
Since Eden at the Fall of mankind, by mankind, God promised a Messiah who will take away the sins of those who trust in Him. God throughout the OT promised a redeemer, one who will make us right with God, (and will give us the spiritual life lost to mankind in Eden), He will give us a new nature, cover us with His righteousness, bring us to God, have a eternal relationship with us (from salvation through eternity), and much more. But it all begins with obeying the Gospel. Jesus said "Repent and Believe the Gospel." Mark 1:15.
You have to know what the Gospel is, in order to obey it; to understand your need for the Savior, and how to recieve the free gift of God.
