Maryology Q: Prayers & Rosary
Q: is it wrong to pray to Mary and those who died? I am catholic, use rosary and ... i always just did what, and believe what RCC says to. Could they be wrong?
A: My 1st recommendation is to Read the OT and NT. The 66 books that Christianity has always and only agreed on that are the Word of God.
Free Bible here
*You will notice there is no book, chapter or verse that says to pray using a rosary. Nor pray to Mary or to the ones* who have gone into eternity.
1.The closest thing in NT we have are
Moses and Elijah coming, Apostle asking if we should do something to/for them and Jesus basically saying have you lost your mind? Notice these eternity ones were about their eternal business. They didnt even speak with the Apostles. Their dealings with this world are over, (until the final things in Millenial Kingdom; after the church era ends at the rapture, the redeemed go to the heavenly wedding and then return to reign with him in MK b4 He destroys the earth and eternity begins for all).
2. Then, we have OT clear DO NOT communicate with the dead.
* who is saying these "people" who died are saved? Perhaps most are not in Heaven, but Hell. Why pray to satan's people?
Challenge
If you want the truth, seek it; I encourage you to take a break, stop listening to what your "church" says and teaches, and go on a sabbatical for a couple months, and read (the 66 books of) the Bible, and from those, look up the teachings and beliefs rcc has taught you, compare against what Scripture teaches, and you will see there is no Scriptural support for the key beliefs of rcc. There are many false religions in the world, and cults masqurading as Christian, so it shouldnt shock you to find you might actually have been sucked into one. Theyve all been around forever.
Since it would take you a long time to do this research, since you wont know what verses show the false teachings of rcc, 👉this will help. It also addresses several other points made in the convo thread here, and discusses salvation (gospel) as well .
I hope it helps you.
You wont find evidence for rcc teachings in the Bible
They added it long after God gave us the Bible. Which means it is man made false teaching, and not from God.
This help you work through/investigate this. Most of the rcc teachings they decieve people about is so they fearfully cling to them (RCC & false teachings). They were added many years after (one after another), in order to make their false teaching fit 'into' their religious system. But only those who genuinely want to make sure they didnt believe a lie (duped by a false religion) will investigate. And admit they were duped, if indeed God opens their eyes to these facts. Dont let pride keep you from investigating & admitting you (and possibly generations of your family) were duped. Most were not literate and didnt have access to the Bible till after the reformation, and many didnt even look at or read the Bible til 2015/2020, they just blindly believed RCC and never ensured it was true.
Only those who want to "make sure" they are right with God, and are believing truth "from God" (vs man) , (what Scripture says)... will investigate genuinely and with an open and truth seeking spirit, as the Bereans. And be willing to leave a false religion if rcc is revealed to be one. Many indeed have left it, and you can too. I hope you do investigate it.
You must count the cost to follow the real Jesus.
Luke 21:16
But you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death
Luke 14:26
“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple
Matthew 10:28
do not fear those [mankind] who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him [God] who can kill you and throw you in eternal Hell
