Q: I cannot understand why God would forgive a murderer yet deny others going to Heaven for not believing in Him. Can you clarify?

Also, Jesus explained that anyone who hates us s murderer. People hate others, even in anger. Thus all are murderers at heart. Only the Law is preventing them (due to consequences holding them back) from actually murdering people.
Are you unaware of the Apostle Paul? He went around murdering many many Christians and then Jesus confronted Him and Paul got saved. Radically transformed by God.
Did you notice the murderer in your scenerio, got saved.
Just as Daumer did. Even a murderer knew he needed Jesus because of his sins, just as the thief on the cross did.
Also what makes you think you are better than anyone else? if God says we are all sinners who violate His Laws? We are all heinous criminals. God sees our deeds, words, thoughts and even knows our evil intentions. Self-righteousness will not justify you nor save you from God.
The issue is about sin & unbelief. And since God said unbelief is a sin, it is all a sin issue.
Belief doesnt mean "believe God is real"...
Belief means Believe God is who he said he is and revealed who He is in the Bible, and the same for Jesus, since it is Belief in Christ that saves you.
So you need to understand who God is and who Jesus is, and then believe and trust in what He has said and revealed (overall).
Plus those who have no interest in righteous living now... Heaven would only be Hell for them. They cant even stand Christians or the Bible now, and were in a fallen world.. how could the unsaved stand it lived out in perfection perfectly in eternity🤷♀️
Jesus sacrifice and forgiveness is available to all. They just need to obey the Gospel.
