Meme Answers - fish socialism
If Jesus gave away fish is that socialism?
Jesus is The King.
Socialism doesn’t have kings.
Jesus isn’t a socialist.
Charity is not Socialism
Charity and good deeds are not socialist.
This is God Himself offering provision, not robbing Peter to pay Paul. This is what happens when ideology is worshipped over God.
God provided everything. Not people. God himself feed them. Not Rome. Jesus gave of his own freewill. He wasnt forced by the govt or had all he owns confiscated to give to everyone else (eat work vs)
Educating, teaching and having a job, is not socialist, it is liberty. As is choice to freely give others of what you own, because you love them and care, not because you are forced to.
Steal a mans fish who worked for it and give it to others who didn't?, nah bro.
Notice Jesus doesn’t say “steal that rich guy’s fish and give it to this other guy”.
Jesus charitably fed people two times. Not 3 times a day plus snacks for the rest of their lives. It is not the same as socialism at all.
Individuals should be able to do that ourselves and support the most efficient charities of choice, and freely give directly to those in need. We should not be extorted from in order to redistribute that money to others who the government thinks should get it.
Also....Charity and good deeds Always are accompanied by the Gospel.
There's literally an entire chapter after this miracle in John where he scolds the exact same crowd for expecting Him to just feed them for the rest of their lives.
Lesson of John chapter 6. Jesus fed them, and they followed him asking for more food, then he said no, and gave them himself, telling them to just believe in him.
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
John 6:26-29
Jesus did not feed them again when they tracked him down for more food. He explained to them why he was really there and it wasn't to feed the poor. When the woman was rebuked for pouring precious perfume on his feet, saying the money could have been used to feed the poor. Jesus again made it was clear that this was the most important thing... Jesus was the most important.
He did say "come to me all who are overwhelmed and burdened by their sin and he would give them rest." Jesus is always focused on the eternal, on salvation. The earthly things are temporary and pass away. The eternal rest and peace with God and peace of mind & soul, is only found in Jesus.
Lesson:
So, dont take Scripture out of context or try to force Scripture to teach what it does not. That is satanic behavior.
Imagine what happens when Scripture twisters get to “my flesh is true food…” 🙄😒🙃😬
What else?
Jesus did say Repent and Believe the Gospel.
Have you done so yet?
Get that resolved today.
