Theists and how things work - science
Atheist: do theists have no idea how things work? Do they understand it?

Not all who call themselves Christians are nor religious named groups as if theyre Christian. That is deception by cults and rcc. True Christianity is of those who are born again. And among them not all are scientists or understand all of science. But, wouldnt put yourself self-righteously above others, considering Einstein said "We [humans] dont even know 2% of all the knowledge in the universe." Here it seems you have missed a lot yourself, as Atheists don't even understand the basics of God and creationism.
Being a scientist or thinking you know more about science than others, doesnt matter tho.
Truth is still true regardless what one believes.
Fill in the gaps of the knowledge you are lacking on this subject through research and investigating.
God did create everything.
He created creation inside of "time", that will eventually be destroyed and usher in eternity and new creation (untouched forever by sin).
It is quite neat that we humans get to look into these things, that God has shared knowledge about it with us, and being made in His image we are creative and curious and examine, what He allows.
God has revealed much about creation, and much more about much more, to us, in Scripture. He also told us about science facts that others had wrong.
Do "Theists" understand? Yes. All the modern Science Founding Fathers were Christian, today there are many Christian scientists too. It is because of the Founding Fathers of modern science, that we have all that we have today... it is thanks to God through Christians.
Such an interesting part of Genesis is the creating, but also the tiny note "He created the stars also". Nothing is hard for God to create.
Entire organizations of and within Science and creationism started because of Christians. Today Christians are still pro science. They don't follow scientism but factual science. There is a difference.
