Faith or Works 🌟

Salvation is by Faith alone. 

Scripture is clear. 
There are many groups who have not studied Scripture well and are unable to see this. Similarly like the top Jewish religious leaders in Jesus day didnt comprehend "no marriage nor gender in Heaven". 

People grow in the knowledge (vs), and we are not instantly given full knowledge at salvation.

They are not related to salvation, but to the fruit shown after salvation. If we recieved full knowledge at salvation, there would be no need for the Bible, nor denomonations. Growth is part of proof that you are "growing up" in the faith, and it is evident by the fruit your life produces. 

Salvation is a gift from God it is not a work
 

Works comes after salvation.
Sort of example: A fruit tree seed is dead [humans have no spiritual life; lost at fall], but it is changed from dead to life by the farmer [God, transforms it] by the water [regeneration by the Holy Spirit], it grows and bears fruit. 

The dead seed bears no fruit, and can produce none by itself. 

But if a person is saved... "God does good things thru them", these works were planned for believers to accomplish ("before the foundation of the world", "in Christ";  vs).

None of this is possible until God brings the dead to life. 


Key Points

Ephesians 2:8–9, for example, is clearly worded and unequivocal: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” 


We are saved solely by the work of Christ on our behalf. His death and His resurrection are the works that save us. We receive our Savior by faith (John 1:12).

If one thinks they add to Jesus work, they nullify Jesus work (for "their" salvation) by adding self righteousness to it. You cannot add to the perfect sacrifice, which was paid in full on the cross. God does not accept mans self righteous things. It is seen as trash to God and a bribe. And it says "I reject the work of Christ" by adding to it. Dont fall into that blasphemous belief of adding works to faith for salvation. 

The entire Scriptures (OT&NT) reject man's self righteousness, and only accepts belief in the Messiah to save them from their sins.
