Benefits & What most miss about Jesus

Come to Jesus 

While the Gospel requires obedience, it is easy to happily be obedient, because we see the reason for it. And unlike religious ritualistic works based legalists, salvation is free. We can easily live obedient lives after salvation out of gratitude and love, because at salvation, God gives us a new nature the moment He causes us to be born again. This radically changes us, and enables us to live rightly. By what God says is right, by the Bible. 

Here is an important point to understand

Sin is violating perfection. Humans have the sin nature due to the Fall. Sin is transgression. Lawlessness, wickedness, evil. Every human is a wicked evil sinner. A criminal in God's eyes. And the wages of sin, is death. What you earn is death. And after death is only judgment. No sinful being can be in the presence of The Holy God. But becaue God is rich in mercy, he has made a way for us to be forgiven,( made right with Him, and be free from sin and the 2nd coming death (eternity in Hell)). He offers eternity in Heaven, through the Gospel... for all who believe, and recieve Christ as their Savior. 

God planned thru the OT and promised the coming Messiah. And on Earth, He completed His mission as Jesus.  The OT God promised to defeat death, and the NT tells how He did it. 

When we shed this body at physical death, we recieve a new eternal body, fit for life with God in Heaven or for eternity in Hell. 

God went to extreme lengths to redeem us, at the high cost of Christ's (life), brutal death on the cross, (where God's eternal wrath on all your sins were poured out on Jesus, so you could go free and justice also be served.) Jesus took our place and He gave us His place (His righteousness [as the perfect innocent one] so we can stand before God "clean"). 

And at salvation He gives a new nature to believers, we now love righteousness instead of sin. 

Matt 8: 12, “As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” 

You become a child of God with true saving faith. 

So what is the benefit?  

Freedom from the bondage of sin, 

freedom from slavery, 

Freedom from wrath & eternal Hell,

Freedom to become a son and an heir, by this adoption.

And he culminates it with this, “So if the Son makes you free, you will really be free,” not the false freedom to which people claim.  Real freedom. True freedom. 

Total freedom from sin’s deception, power, punishment, penalty, and presence, forever free, forever free.  

This is our Lord’s message.  “There will be no condemnation to those who are in Christ - ” Romans 8 says “ - because the Spirit of life in Christ has set us free.” 

In Jesus, a soul has been set free from sin’s bondage to the freedom of complete forgiveness, complete forgiveness and the promise of eternal glory, & eternity with God in a place where sin doesnt exist, a good and perfect place. But theres a limited time offer. 

So when Jesus said "repent and believe the gospel", we are called by faith to obey. Theres nothing forcing you. If you clearly understand the priceless gift God offers, you would grab desperately at it. And be filled with gratitide, thankfulness, awe and love.
