Q: Can you just "spread the word" by your actions, how you live, how to treat people, how you care, love, give.... and not by preaching.
A: No. Scripture and common sense are clear... you cannot know something unless you are told by someone else. Same for everything in life.
Actions alone, simply allow others to take advantage. Jesus even basically said to the crowds 'you only follow me for free food, not for the words I am saying to you.' Charity without the Gospel is useless. If that person dies tonight, good deeds done to them such as giving food isnt what they need. They need salvation because tomorrow isnt promised. No one knows whenever they die. So, eternal things matter, & now.
God gave people the prophets, God sent them to speak.
God even gave people the Bible, but they dont read it.
So he sends Christians to share it and the Gospel. He uses both the Scriptures and the born again believers to tell people what they need to know. Then, after they get saved, they desire to read the Bible, know God and become more righteous and holy (to conform to the image of Christ). Before salvation, people dont care about God or truth. But they care about and love God and believers after they get saved.
Words are necessary.

If not, then you have made a decision and there is no longer any need for further conversation about it. But if you stay open and ask questions later then that is good.
