Why does it matter?

Q: Why do Christians tell people about Jesus, why does what they have to say to me, matter? 

A: Typically this is brought up by people who try to get a Christian to stop talking about Jesus, truth and the Bible (The Word of God). 

A guy will speak to the Christian and reveal himself as a minion of Satan. He is basically saying, if these people in other religions are headed straight to Hell, dont warn them, dont care about them, let them believe it. 

You wouldnt do that with a blind man walking towards a cliff edge. You wouldnt do that if a house was on fire. You wouldnt tell everyone to "keep enjoying the trip" while the titanic is sinking. 

No. You would go warn them and try to rescue them. They do not understand how theyre in imminent danger.

We warn about Judgment and Hell and tell people to flee to the life-raft (Jesus). 

People do not know theyre headed towards Hell, that theyre enemies of God, that theyve believed lies of false gods and worldviews. Until someone reaches out to them theyre unaware of the serious danger... and since 150,000 people die every day (in unexpected various ways), we are told by God to "Go and preach the gospel" "call all men to repent and believe in Jesus". Because "Today is the day of salvation", and "after death is only Judgement". 

When people hear the true Gospel and understand it, theyll see their disease and the cure. They do not see their need for Jesus and find it offensive until it is explained and they grasp the seriousness of it. 

Jesus said he came for sinners not the self-righteous. Only those truly see their sin will seek the offer the Savior has.
