own belief
Q: Why do some people want you to conform to what they believe, insisting you believe what they believe. Why doesnt everyone mind their own business.
A: It wouldnt be very loving, and wouldnt be the right thing to do. Because.... If there is truth, and everything else is a lie, then someone should bravely go and tell others to turn from their error, come to their senses and believe the truth. If someone is in a burning building and are oblivious, they are gonna die in a quick minute. So should a good samaratian risk his life, or the firefighter just sit in his firetruck and listen to music, to "not bother you & mind his own business"... or should he go running into the flames, caring about your life, to go and try to rescue you?
That is what Christianity does. God saves us, then commissions us to go and share the gospel. Because the wages of sin is death, and after death is only the judgememt. He has appointed a day in which he will Judge sin, and all who practice it. The only chance of being saved from eternal flames is by obeying the Gospel. No one can be saved if someone isnt sent. So God keeps Christians here on earth, and on the rescue mission, to go into the world and snatch people from the imminement danger they're very unaware of and oblivious to.
No one is seeking truth. The Bible is God's Word to mankind. But hardly any are reading it. They do not seek truth. They cannot. They're trapped by sin and have no desire for spiritual truth. Unless God comes to them. He uses Christians to share the words of the Bible, warn, reason with you, share the Gospel. The Holy Spirit brings enlightenment & God then can save you. God brings people from spiritual death to spiritual life, as one resurrected from the dead.
When Adam sinned in Eden, he died spiritually, and was chained to and enslaved to sin. But Jesus brought salvation through the cross and resurrection, so that all whom God converts, are brought to spiritual life. Resurrected from the dead, through faith in Christ Jesus.
It was no coincidence you read this today, God has brought this to you through the person who shared it. If you are listening, and open to finding the truth, you can find it and the truth will set you free.
People who love lies, hate the truth. They run from truth because they are of the darkness, but God can show them that the light is good and truth is important to hear, listen to, embrace, and love. Those who lived their lives in darkness, fear truth and light, because they know nothing of it. They never experienced it.
Today you can come to the light. Your entire life is exposed to God anyway; He knows all your thoughts, deeds and things youve said. He knows all your sins. Theres no where a person could hide from YHWH whether alive or dead. No need to try to hide anymore. Just come out from the shadows, and admit your sins, and get right with God through Jesus. Many will be saved and spend eternity with Him in the new Heaven and new Earth; where sin, corruption, suffering, and sadness will never enter. Come to God and live there in perfect peace, and with joy, gratitude and love towards the triune God.
