Marraige Shadow🌟

It represents the Gospel.

Marriage was designed as a shadow of Christ's union with the church, called his bride. It shows the personal relationship between human and God in that they were designed to be in eternal fellowship together; we belong to God, & to be with God.

Genesis 1:27
" So God created man in His own image, in the Image of God HE created mankind; MALE AND FEMALE, HE created THEM."

As soon as God made the woman, He presented her to Adam, and God created the institution of marriage:

Genesis 2:24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh

Christ is head of the church
Marriage was designed as a shadow of his union with the church, called his bride. The Saved ones.
Man is husband who loves his wife as Christ loves the church.
The wife loves & submits to husband as the church submits to Jesus. They are representing as a light to the world, via the Gospel.

The marriage and wedding feast in Heaven is when Jesus  calls his bride (the church) out of the world at the rapture and they are united eternally in God's presence, in the place the groom prepared them to dwell. Forever dwelling and living with Him.

A. This is why divorce is a huge NO! And we are to properly vett a suiter to ensure they are a true born again believers living godly and growing in holiness before we even consider dating/courting them.

Marriage represents the Gospel. Those whom God has saved are eternally saved. The covenant or legal transaction of that salvation happened through Jesus work, and God accepted the payment at His death, (and showed His victory over sin and death by the resurrection). It is eternally secure. Similarly we see God and his covenant with Abraham... a example of the permanent legal transaction; and God did and sealed the covenant.

God is not a liar that he would break His covenant promises.

Thus believers unequally yoked, from however it happened, are to persevere. To show Christ, to shine that light, at home... in every situation. Because God may be using it to bring the spouse to salvation, or also to grow the godly spouses' sanctification [to be more like Christ]. Christ loved and sacrificed to his death.

You cannot just blame or label the unsaved spouse by worldly terms and selfishly go your way to sever the marriage and seek a happy life on earth with someone else. This world is full of suffering, trials and tribulation for all humans, and even persecution and mistreatment towards Christians.

We are called to pick up our cross, deny ourselves. And follow Him- go the righteous path.

If you sever the covenant marriage unbiblically, the God will discipline you. Your church may also discipline you [Matt 18] because what you are doing is rebellion & it needs correction.

Yes Scripture says those who commit adultery and live in adultery after a wrong divorce are hell bound*; showing these weren't saved, and need to repent.  You would need to further talk to your pastor to find out if you need to divorce if in an "adultery [remarriage]" [invalid covenant], and live single for life. (*This has areas to clarify but we are not to sever the covenant, because God doesnt with us).

There is only one unforgivable sin, but God takes his saving Gospel and Jesus sacrifice VERY seriously. And won't be happy with any professing believer who assigns, slanders or trampled on Jesus sacrifice.

Divorcing is like saying God can break the covenant of salvation, when he can't because it is a promise, and the transaction already took place to save us. It can't be undone. When God does something its a done deal. Marriage covenant is the same. We are to keep the covenant and not break it. To show the Gospel to the world. *We follow in Jesus footsteps. If he was mistreated, we will be too. We have to endure all things in our marriage, whatever comes. (1)

Take this seriously, and live holy.

Hope that really clarified this serious issue.
The Marriage Covenant is THAT important.

B. This is also why 1 man 1 woman matters since Eden. It has always been God's design, and marriage would be a "shadow" of eternal things.

This is why identity crisis today is an attack on God. We are made in His image, by Him, for Him, and to glorify Him. We cannot deviate from the design without being rebellious and enemies of God.

And so also no one who claims to be a Christian can participate in changing identity and living in such, (same sex immorality, lgbt+ relationships, calling gays+ united in "marriage", otherkin/furries, marrying yourself or to a tree, a robot or a invisible person, etc) is false. And why no Christian can be involved in using or affirming immoral identity choices incl. those changing & demanding false pronoun usage. There is only He/him and She/her, as God designed it. Anything else is a lie. And Christians cannot be going about life lying. God hates Liars and will send them to Hell. People who lie with no fear of God, are not his children.

We must obey and follow God.

Footnote
(1) But if the spouse leaves or divorces then you are free. Because in Israel the penalty for adultery, etc... was death. Death severs the marriage covenant. So even if their society laws changed and ours too, so that grace is given vs death, it still is as if death happened. It frees you. Now, if he's physically abusive that needs addressing & correcting, see above link. If it doesn't end as that did, it will likely end in him leaving/divorcing you, and in that you are also free. But you can't leave or divorce him. Scripture says if he's willing to live with you, you have to deal with it. Perhaps he will get saved & marriage thus becomes restored. Which is the hope and goal. And it's why Scripture says love him and live holy before him.
