"Blessings"

What Blessings are being talked about?

Earthly/temporal?

Heavenly/Spiritual?

God supplies all our needs to live as a Christian. Our spiritual needs are the focus in Scripture. If we are obediently following Him then he can use us for the furthering of and spread of the Gospel, and bringing Him glory in our daily lives, "and all these thungs are added to you", "God will supply all your needs, in Jesus". The blessings he gives are spiritual. Tho he may give us a little of this or that on earth, it is not promised and not to be the focus of our life.

He feeds the ravens, the flowers beauty withers, and he will care for us. He will make sure we have clothes and food, and hopefully bless us with shelter. Jesus had no home. But He tells us that those who (for the sake of being a Christian; losing family or friends who love sin) that the things the brethren have will now be ours by God blessing it as you go about till you are on your fert, and the church helps (temporary shelter, food, clothes), and you gain a new larger family; redeemed brethren (the church congregation).

Jesus did not die to give you wealth or health. He made no promises for that, and anyone who reads the Bible, [you are reading it daily right?], knows everything is spiritual focused, and focused on eternity, not the short time in this life nor the things of this world.

So if someone lied to you about Christianity being about wealth and prosperity... you recieved the doctrines of demons; the wrong Gospel, the wrong Jesus, the wrong preacher, and the wrong teaching of Scripture.

Jesus warned that on that last day, "many will say Lord Lord, but He will say depart from me you lawless one, I never knew you", and goes on to say they'll he tossed into eternal Hell; they were followers of Satan masqurading as believers.

He warns "people will follow after what tickles their ears instead of sound doctrine/truth", and clearly teaches the church and world will be full of false converts; he explains that in the parables, other places, and the disciples spend a good amount of time warning of false teachers, false preachers, false gospel, false conversion, and telling us how to avoid being decieved by charlatans and our own hearts. We are not to go our own way, but to follow our Lord and live by the Word.

It is quite scary to fall prey to Satan and his schemes (noted above). God calls us to examine ourselves.

Jesus said you call me Lord but do you do the things I say to do. Do you obey my teaching, do you pick up your cross and follow me daily? Or are you only focused on yourself. How can you say you have died to sin and self and were raised in Christ (salvation), but not live, think, behave, obey and have a biblical worldview?

We need to take these things seriously.

If this has been a wake up call for you, I pray it has been a positive exhortation, admonishment and recieved in love, out of concern for your soul and others reading this. May God give you renewed joy, or take a false convert and give you spiritual life today, born again in Him. Forever changed and grateful to Him.

Make sure you are really saved. Today.

*And walk away from any teaching and beliefs that are at emnity with the Word of God. Get saturated in the Word daily, and conform to it.
