The Bible is the most popular book of all time.
According to the 2021 State of the Bible 'study' >> 51% of Americans read the Bible.
More Americans are reading the Bible than in the last 10 years. It's the 2nd highest number of readers during that 10 year timeframe.
When thinking about their own usage, 24% of Americans say their Bible reading has increased this year.
The 2021 study showed that 51% (or 128 million Americans) are Bible users this year—the highest percentage in four years, and the most in raw numbers since 2014. Could be due to Covid era lockdowns and more people refocusing on free-quiet time at home, thinking about spiritual things, thinking about, scared of, or being touched personally by deaths from covid. In June 2020, as COVID-19 began to spread in the U.S more people started reading the Bible. And that number continued to climb every year since.
There's 15,083,333 new readers of the Bible this year, in 2022. And about that many last year. During covid over 40 million new people have started reading the Bible. Are you one of them or among the 10% who haven't read read of it yet.

1 in 6 Americans who read Scripture at least four times a week is an important number. Extensive research of the impact of Bible reading shows that is the amount necessary to see significant life change. It is certianly not hard today to set a phone alarm reminder to read 15 to 35 minutes a day 4 or 5 days a week. It is easily doable to do today.
People who engage with Scripture one to three days a week demonstrate the same effect on the personal lives as those who don't read the Bible 👀. Those who read the Bible four days a week or more, however, 😀see radical, life-altering effects. Christians should be reading it daily.
32% surveyed read it daily, but was found that only 3% of church members surveyed under another bigger survey 😬.
This is in fact the main reason majority of "Christians" don't even know what is in it, and why their lives and beliefs do not seem any different from the unsaved. Maybe these ones are not actually Christian, but just think they are.
3% is a small number who actually regularly read it, and it's definitely the reason most in the church today do not hold a Biblical world view. Including (shockingly) pastors; only 37% have a Biblical worldview. This is because they do not read it daily to know what God has told us in Scripture, Or... they aren't actually a Christian 🤷♀️ and just buy sermons off the internet or create motivational speeches based of their personal philosophy. A believer cannot claim to know the Bible & teach or speak opposite what Scripture says. That leads to serious issue: No Christian would call God a liar. He doesn't lie and He gave us the Bible as His true Word. If they are saved, they would be reading & obeying His Word, live by what it says ....and it would cause them to become more like Christ day by day.
I honestly can't fathom someone who claims to be a Christian, but doesn't read/know what God teaches us in the Bible, "and" it explains why they hold to unbiblical beliefs😬. Today people are way more literate than the 1940s, they graduated 4th & 8th grade and today they graduate highschool - even if they can't read well, the audio Bible exists for them, and is a great help for the blind. Also the Bible and audio Bibles online are free to access now, so there's way more access in 2020 than there ever was before. We also have more versions for readability today than the Geneva Bible & the old english of kjv, So there's 0 excuse.
How often do you read the Bible? 4x a week: Sunday thru Thursday? Mon- Fri?, Or Daily? How many times have you read thru the Bible? Make it a daily lifestyle. 👍

Proof there is a massive lack of "Christians" daily reading the Bible, or the majority in "church" are not saved. They would hold a biblical worldview if they were saved. The Bible is "THE authority" of all things for any truly born again Christian. If it "isnt" for those who claim Christ, they are not saved.

Americans who are turning to God’s Word today for direction and hope.
The data suggests they want to be "closer to God." They reported seeking "comfort" and "wisdom." As they read, the majority say they feel "comforted," "peaceful," "encouraged," and "hopeful."
This pandemic has shown many of us our vulnerability. Underneath our rough exteriors are hearts yearning for love, peace, and acceptance. I believe Americans can find hope through God's Word, experienced in a vibrant Christian community. Believers can help guide our searching nation from deep loss to great hope.
The Bible has comforted Americans for centuries, and God continues to speak through it.
