Origins of Morals

Where does Morals and values come from?

Objective moral truths are best explained by God's existence  pt1Pt2

What are some morals in the world that go against the conscience, but follow a human made code?

Deep African tribe moral codes:
In the 80s there was a documentary about canibals. The canibal tribes admitted they know murdering people is wrong, but.... to feel better about it, they only murder and eat people in other tribes, not their own.

Pagans who worshipped Molech in old times
had morals and values that said it was important to sacrifice babies; to burn babies to death by putting them into hot iron idol statues arms. And they banged drums and maid noise so you couldnt hear the baby's screaming death cries.

Creating a moral standard thats outside what God has revealed in the Bible: If sin is involved, and it typically is at the root, then the issue is really about trying to live without accountability to God. Your conscience convicts you, but you supress the truth and dull the conscience. It's why people can set up their own standards,.... but they still can't escape that true morality is written on their heart by God, nor can they escape the consequences of sin. They have 2 choices: either they have to dealt with their sins (before they die), or die in their sins (& be judged and convicted as a criminal & be sentenced to eternal Hell).

How to deal with sins now , and avoid Hell.
