Christian hate?

Is it Hate, or is it love?  Is it assumption and 

lack of Biblical knowledge? 

Often people think what Christians believe/say is hateful because the hearer lacks knowledge, understanding and wisdom.  In truth, what a (true) Christian is doing is of a loving and caring spirit and intention. Scripture has been clear in all moral & spiritual a matters, and we are to obey Scripture, and the redeemed can do so because of the indwelling power and enabling of the Holy Spirit. We are to exhort, rebuke, reason with, show error, teach truth, call out false teaching, reprove, and share the Bible & the Gospel.

Proverbs 13:1

A wise one accepts discipline, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

Ecclesiastes 7:5

"Better to listen to the rebuke of a wise man Than for one to listen to the ways of fools"

Luke 17:3

"Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him"

1 Timothy 5:20

Those who continue in sin, reprove in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful

Titus 1:9

"holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to reprove those who contradict."

Titus 1:13

"This testimony is true. For this reason reprove them severely so that they may be sound in the faith,"

Titus 2:15

"These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you"

Amos 5:10

They hate him who reproves in the gate, And they abhor him who speaks with integrity

Job 5:17

“Behold, how blessed is the man whom God reproves,"

"For whom Yahweh loves He reproves, Even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights"

Reprove a wise man and he will love you

A scoffer does not love one who reproves him, He will not go to the wise

He who reproves a man will afterward find more favor Than he who flatters with the tongue

with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may give them repentance leading to the full knowledge of the truth

Jude 1:3

I felt the necessity to write to you exhorting that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.
