Truth about Fear

Is fear your enemy or your friend?

Many non Christians say, You are trying to make people 😱fear.

🤔Not sure if people say that because God has convicted them, and they're fearful of God and the coming Judgement. Or if they think what Christians say are some kind of scare tactic.

The thing these people miss is:
Fear is your friend, not your enemy.

*you wouldn't stand at the edge of a cliff, cuz you'd fall to your death.
*you wouldn't jump off a 20 story building roof, cuz you would die.
*you wouldn't stand in traffic, cuz cars or big rig would hit and kill you.
*you wouldn't crash your car, cuz you could die.
* you wouldn't jump out of a plane without a parachute, cuz you would die.
*you would stop a blind man from walking into traffic, or turn him around if he was walking towards a cliff.

This is what Christians are saying
God sent us to tell the world.

We are saying do not step from death into eternity, without being right with God; having Jesus as your Savior. Without Him, it's Hell for eternity.

The plane is going down, death is eminent. Grab the parachute and out it on. The life you know in this world is coming to an end. It could be today. Grab at the offer God is giving you. Grab Jesus and out on His Righteousness.  Then whether the jump is today, tomorrow or later... you have the only thing that will save you from God's coming wrath on sin.

God is clear: Repent & Trust in Jesus. Today is the day of Salvation. After death is only judgement. Come to your senses.

Scripture is clear we are to have a right fear of God.
"And do not fear those who kill the body but can do no more. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Matt.10:28

Fear <<< explained

The fear of the Lord isn’t about walking around terrified of God. In fact, it’s the exact opposite: it’s a steadfast confidence in His power, justice, and holiness.(*)

Fearing God means having such a reverence for Him that it has a great impact on the way we live our lives. The fear of God is respecting Him, obeying Him, submitting to His discipline, and worshiping Him in awe.

Proverbs 1:7 declares, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.

Psalm 34:4, "I sought the Lord and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears."

2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Deuteronomy 10:12, 20-21 records, “ what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Fear the LORD your God and serve him. Hold fast to him ... He is your praise; he is your God..."
*The fear of God is the basis for our walking in His ways, serving Him, and, yes, loving Him. 😊

Get right with God, come to Jesus today:

  • “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost,” (Luke 19:10).

  • “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day,” (John 6:39).
