Well Intentions sharing the message of God online

Wise Advice.

Having both prepared to share the gospel via offsite links in advance of sharing online, and having  experienced flagging for warnings of FB Jail- for sharing my faith... I would like to suggest that any born again  Christian kindly take caution when sharing about God on Facebook, IG and Twitter.

First we know these are anti freedom of speech places being controlled by liberals to silence anything they aren't pushing as their a worldview. We are behind enemy lines.  Secondly, we have to be gracious, kind and careful in how we speak online knowing both that the tone we wrote things doesn't always come across that way to a reader, but thirdly, also that the smallest thing you say, even if you don't mean it that way, can land you flagged and in fb jail which will prevent you forever from commenting in forums on social media platform.  Dont cut off your witnessing arm.

And make sure to speak with love, grace and kindness.  A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Prov 15:1. Words we speak can cut down someone, embittered them, or be good and brighten their day. Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Proverbs 17:27-28: The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. James 3 gives us wise caution with words. 

 The tongue is like a spark. 

It takes only a spark to start a forest fire

It ... sets a person's entire life on fire with flames

Are any of you wise or sensible? Then show it by...being wise in everything you do. 

the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere. When peacemakers plant seeds of peace, they will harvest  "

Matthew 5:9  “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”

Be cautious so you don't cut off your witnessing arm online on social media. 

You can still say what you want to, but Think out how best to say it well, as you think, type out what you want to say best to do so in a .doc by computer or notepad app on a phone, before you send a reply to someone, to write wisely & to help avoid getting flagged. 

Tweak anything you think might possibly be viewed as hateful or condemning. Then paste into the reply. 

Additional suggestion is to go about your answer "off" the social media platform onto a web based location like blogger.com where you can give answers. 👉you cannot be flagged by users for content that's offsite. So you can be safe to always avoid a hater falsely or purposely hatefully flagging you in anything you reply. 

Using Blogger.com

Here us an example:

Someone posted a post that is getting attention. A FB post -> a main post. 

You see that post. You notice that...

Someone replied on that post

You realized you can share something about God from that post or that person's reply.

Click In the reply box to that person. *Stop*, go

Type up your reply, in a doc. double check it. 

Is part of what I say maybe something that if they take it wrongly will they likely passive aggressively or just as a God hater in general, flag you as hate message? 

If not, can your post reply benefit from addl-

*include a link from a reputable site with an answer, a sermon message, a yt video related?  Or the gospel needGod.com? If so, do it. Link in it b4 hitting send. 

*if so, if it might be flagged... 

Create a new post in Blogger. 

Title it "Cont... " or "more" (you can literally name every blogger post this) 

Put the reply to your post in there. 

Give it a title in the blog page doc so you know which answer that one is. 

Add in that post any addl links you want to provide as helps, references offsite, and a link to the gospel (why not 😊). Save & publish the post. Copy the post link. 

b4 u paste into the reply.

In reply, to get them to click link. Say something like:

"I think it's important to  note that..."

"Could I encourage you to consider this? "

"Good points and/but ..." (whichever is best Word in that situation)

"Interesting thoughts and/ but..." (whichever is best Word in that situation)

"Interesting, have you thought possibly... "

Then, Include the link: paste it at the end.

🙏 Pray over that post for the responder and any readers of the reply. Thank God for the opportunity. And that we can reach people for the gospel & for the truths of God thru modern technology. 

Helpful tip: 

Then go to the blog, go into a "Home page" blog post [make one as 1st post] then type the sentence name of the thing you replied to as a quick search title, highlight the text, click the chain link to add a weblink, paste the link in. Save it. Publish it.👍

Next time you need that answer, go to the web version of that page (saved in your web bookmarks) copy the link, and repeat cycle. 😁

It is quite simple to do after you do it 1 or 2x.

However- if someone has already provided a good reply to the topical issue you can short cut and simply copy that weblink, go into the social media reply area, say something like

 "you know that's interesting I read/thought something about this too. www.linkhere.com/myreplylink << "

And include that link there.👍☺

It provides an answer, or helpful reply. Even if you are doing so to "correct" a believers misinformation or answering a skeptic, or just trying to send someone to info for any further thought, or the gospel. 

BTW that above Sample can also just simply link to the gospel. If it is a reply that has no avenue for the gospel (Sample coming soon) but they might be receptive, why not 🤷‍♀️ 😊. At minimum you can send them to a page that has a few links to a few useful sites (example) which also includes the gospel. 

There are many who claim to be Christian who are false converts that Jesus spoke of with the seeds parable. Since we don't know who they are, linking to a page w helpful addl links can maybe help lead some false converts to salvation. This is why I always add the gospel and related links. They might turn out interested and click to peek.

Any simple name you will remember. Plus you can create an IG or Twitter account with this exact name (!) to use specifically for witnessing there.

Using Twitter.com

Also you can post your reply on Twitter now, in shorter answers, and use tinyurl.com to create a random link name (such as tinyurl.com/364) to paste into fb as an answer offsite. Instead of blogger. Since it's headed to free speech there now. And you might hook a fish there for the gospel. 

And there are topics of the day you can also interact with or look for hashtags # or swing topics from current news to the gospel. Check out the livingwaters.com youtube page and look around to find celebrities discussed (will be the image thumbnail), and save those links on a document by celeb name.

Then when something comes up (like recently Elon and Twitter or Will Smith at Oscars) you can

1. Interact in posts made by others in the hashtag areas, In search and trending 

2. Create a post.  hashtag celeb name in a post, screenshot the yt thumbnail pic, add to the twitter post, and write something simple like "Wow I didnt know that" (it's a lead for the reader to say that to themselves as they click the link), and include the link to the yt video and post it. You can also look on the "trending" tab and see if there is anything there you can go in for fishing to reach the lost. 

Follow same principle as the FB/blogger (.doc pre thought) wording and linkage (use tinyurl.com to give more character space) before you post there. It is a liberal site and many are rude atheists, but you can still try to plant seeds. Many are now moving back to twitter after hearing Elon bought twitter this week. So you will have a bit more freedom there and more people will be going there and you will likely meet several people who are open to the things of God if presented in kindness and with a good message (esp if it's a living waters one on one interview related to the topic you are replying about or if you post needGod.com).
